Spider-man ( Homecoming ) Is the boxoffice where the Heart is ?

Several months after the events of captain America ; civil war . Peter , with the help of Tony Stark , tries to balance his life as ordinary high school student in queens NYC , while fighting crime as his superhero alter-ego Spider-Man as a new threat , the vulture emerges .

REVIEW:

After seeing 5 previous Spider-Man films and really liking only one of them ( Spider-Man 2 ) , Spider-Man : Homecoming will be added to the “like ” list . Now mind you , this film is far from perfect , it sticks to the characters core motivation ” with great power comes great responsibility “, Peter,s responsibilities lie with also being a good student , letting his aunt know about his whereabouts and finding balance between a teen and a superhero . Some of the things I loved about spidey when I was a kid reading these stories are covered in this film . MCU Spider-Man wants nothing more than the approval of Tony Stark and becoming a full-time Avenger , but he,s just a kid and does things in the film that makes Tony admonish him at the 2ad act of the film , saying ( If you,re nothing without the suit, you don,t deserve it ) . Tom Holland pulls this role off to a “tee” and never gets “blown ” out of a scene ( even with Michael Keaton/ Robert Downey,Jr ) . Michael Keaton,s ( Vulture ) was a decent villain , a blue collar joe trying to keep food on the table for his family , though his evil intentions grows off-screen and could have been ” fleshed out” more, Keaton’s interpretation of the character suggests , his Adrian Toomes  is not devoid of redeeming qualities .

Peter’s supporting cast does a great job with ( Jacob Batalon  ) the clear standout as peter’s best friend Ned . This film isn’t a “end of the world ” movie, it is what it is , a street-level Marvel movie ( much like Netflix , without the sex, ultra violence , etc. ) . It’s a great ” coming of age ” superhero film showing his mistakes along the way.

OVERALL:  I give Spider-Man : Homecoming a 5 out of 5 , it’s flaws are balanced out with good characterization and well-placed Humor .. a MUST SEE !!!
